03/11/2017: 68th JTIC International Meeting

 The 68th JTIC international meeting will be held next week!

 The cereal industries show will be held November 8-9, at the Paris Event Centre, Porte de la Villette, Paris.

 The event will open to the public on both days at 0830am and to the exhibitors 30 minutes before. There will be the availability of dinner, with the timings adjusted to enjoy the exhibition longer and a private evening which you can purchase tickets to online. At the evening event there will even be a live concert! "Les Garçons Trottoirs".

 France is the No.1 grain producer in the European Union, far outstripping the other 27 countries in the EU. In 2013 it accounted for 22.2 percent of the EU's grain harvest, its land under cereal cultivation representing 16.3 percent of the 28's total cereal land. 

 Worldwide, France was the sixth largest cereal producer in 2013, behind the US, China, India, Russia and Brazil. It was fifth behind China, India, The USA and Russia.

 France's 9,471,000 million hectares devoted to cereals in 2013 represented the 34.4 percent of the country's agricultural land and 17 percent of its total land mass. Of that 9.47 million hectares, 52.9 percent was dedicated to wheat.
